  This was the first time the class was taught, but I loved the lectures. He is also probably the most caring professor I have had. He really cares and wants everyone to pass. His quizzes were fair.

  He is a very nice professor and really tries to explain the material, over-explaining most of the time. All the tests were reasonable and based on the HW. However, he spent too long explaining intro topics ran out of time at the end of the semester for the rest of the class. Feel unprepared for O-chem 2 because of that. (chm 234)

  Very nice professor, would recommend if you struggle with chemistry and you need this class. He is very caring and wants the best for his students, as he gives very little homework and a lot of extra credit on every test along with 10 points at the end of the semester. Only issue is that he underprepares you if you need to take CHM234 next.

  He definitely over-explains things but for someone like me this was so helpful and very necessary. I was terrified of taking o-chem but he made it even easier to understand than gen chem. His study guides are great and the review sessions are even better. He treats students like humans and is very encouraging and approachable.

  He's super nice professor that sometimes does over-explain material. His tests are very straightforward and he's even nice enough to give study guide with the exact topics on the test. He's very empathetic. His expectations align with what's being taught and what's on the test. Very little homework (once a week) with clear instructions!

  Professor mills is the most caring science professor you will have during your academic career. He focuses on his students perspectives and changes his demonstrations based on them. He is on your team. Class is lecture heavy, but so is every o-chem course. Very respected, little homework for a grade.

  He is an okay professor, I find that he is not always the best at explaining material. I learned more by reading the textbook and studying past exams. He is less hard then other professors and teaches and tests similarly to Nicholas Stephanopoulis just not as good. Take him, you should pass with some effort.

  The tests are fairly straight forward and mostly multiple choice. Cram chapter packets and you will succeed. look at the study guide to know what to study. Online homework was an absolute pain. Much easier than the other o chem professors.

  He's not as bad as he seems! While he is not the best lecturer, his markup notes can be helpful, although ChadsReviews is how I was fully able to grasp the information. However, Professor Mills set up the class to allow us to succeed, especially because he offers several extra credit opportunities and homework is a big part of the final grade.

  Literally the worst professor I have ever taken. You don't want this bad of a prof, especially for OCHM2. He has no idea what he is doing so he just repeats work from past years. His tests are pretty brutal since you have to teach yourself everything. If you want to make your semester hard, go ahead and take him.

  Okay the second exam is tomorrow and honestly he's still a bad teacher. I've tried paying attention but we are soo behind from schedule. The only thing that will save you in this class is going to Chad's weekly class reviews. I'll keep you guys updated. The class isn't hard and his tests are SUPER easy but go to Chad's reviews!

  I'm only 4 weeks into the class and I am so lost (then again I haven't paid attention). He seems like a good guy (he tried to get us Wiley for free kinda) so he seems cool outside of class, but I feel like he is learning the concepts as he teaches them. We have our first exam in two days so we'll see how I do. I'll do another review at the end.

  Dr. Mills was a good professor. We went over the material a bit too slowly and spent too much time on topics from first semester, but overall he made sense and the tests were easy. We had extra credit on the tests. If you want to learn ochem more in depth maybe take another prof, if you want to learn some and get an A take Mills.

  This class was too easy. Exams were way too basic and my own class pace was so slow that an entire chapter was missed in my section. If youre looking for an easy OChem course then youve found it. But be warned, if you need this class in the future for your major, MCAT, etc. I would choose a tougher class. Youll thank yourself later.

  CHM 234 is a notoriously hard class. But Dr. Mills is so lenient with his test questions that it didn't feel hard at all! The exams were very similar to previous ones and he even outlines everything you need to know on a study guide. My advice is to just read and practice! I regret not getting an A+ because I was doing work for another class...

  As far as I'm aware, there's no other professor like Dr. Mills. He doesn't try to trick you on any of his exams and is very generous with extra credit. His notes, lectures, & homework all help you prepare for the exams. Make sure to do the study guides & practice exams - similar/exact questions may re-appear & he gives you which mechanisms to study

His lectures are perfectly-paced because he wants to take time on the notes to make sure that students understand what is being taught.
